Kate Mulgrew as you probably know plays the part of Captain Kathryn Janeway. Originally however, Mulgrew was not to play this woman. Star Trek had previously cast Genevieve Bujold as the part of Elizabeth Janeway. Three days before the start of filiming, Bujold pulled out, saying that she wasn't ready to handle such a large project. To replace her, was Mulgrew.
